Where Will Color Take You?
Where Will Color Take You? is a fundraising event presented by The Sherwin-Williams Women's Club at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo that benefits Youth Challenge. The event supports Youth Challenge programs that bring together young people with physical disabilities and teen volunteers through adapted sports, recreation, and social growth activities. In 2026 Youth Challenge marks its 50th year of work in Northeast Ohio.
The event program includes a timed 5K run, an untimed 1-Mile Walk & Roll, a kids' dash, a virtual participation option, and a supporter wristband option. Virtual participants receive a family fun packet and an event t-shirt if registered by May 29; virtual results may be submitted through June 27 but are not counted toward top 5K finishers. Strollers are allowed and dogs are not. There will not be a handcycle division this year.
Registration fees vary by age and registration period; virtual and supporter options are available. Registration includes zoo admission, a race t-shirt for timely registrants, post-race refreshments, and access to on-site activities such as a DJ and photobooth. Early packet pickup takes place the day before at the Youth Challenge office in Westlake, Ohio.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female winners and age-group awards with established age brackets and top-three placements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
