Wheathampstead 10k & 2k Fun Run
The Wheathampstead 10K race and 2K family fun run take place on 17 May 2026 at Marford Playing Fields, Memorial Hall, Marford Road, Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire AL4 8AY.
Distances:
- 10 km race, minimum age 15.
- 2 km fun run, children under 7 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
The 10K is an off road course through the Hertfordshire countryside and is described as suitable for runners of all levels. The 2K is a circular off road course aimed at families, runners, and walkers of various ages. An Inter-School 2K Challenge runs alongside the public entries, with schools competing for prizes and schools selected during registration.
Race HQ is at Marford Hall where baggage drop is available. On-site extras include a barbecue, drinks, cakes, fairground rides, massage services, and stalls for a family outing atmosphere.
Entry fees for the 10K are tiered: early bird, advance, and on-the-day prices; the 2K has an advance and on-the-day price. A booking fee applies at checkout. Proceeds support Beech Hyde Primary School & Nursery. If the event is cancelled a deferral is offered; refunds are not provided but entries may be transferred to another runner until 7 May 2026.
