Weymouth Half Marathon : 14 March 2027
The Weymouth Half Marathon is the 12th edition of an annual half marathon organised by Just Racing UK and based at Weymouth Pavillion on The Esplanade, Weymouth DT4 8ED. The route runs along Dorset’s coastline and through parts of the historic town, with harbour and seafront sections noted for their sea views and local support.
The event is professionally organised and provides chip timing, multiple water stations, full medical cover, bag drop facilities and toilets on route. Course notes from previous editions describe a mostly flat first half with more challenging short climbs in the second half; surfaces include tarmac and concrete with some sections on trails that can be muddy in wet conditions. Previous editions also reported a compressed start area and a looped approach to the finish near the pavilion, which has occasionally affected the finish funnel.
All finishers receive a high quality medal. Organisers tweaked the course for 2027 and aim to accommodate up to 2000 runners; places were sold out in 2025 and 2026, so entry numbers are limited.
