Westover Run the Runway 2026
Westover Run the Runway takes place on 10/03/2026 at Westover Metropolitan Airport in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The event features the 5K run on a flat, paved course. Walkers use a 2-mile path, and runners may choose to shorten their route to that same 2-mile option. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted on the course.
This event is held across an operational federal military installation with the civilian side used for the start and finish. Pre-run vetting is mandatory and Real IDs are required for entry. Participants should expect security restrictions including a prohibition on carry-on items; a key and bag check will be available. Wheelchair and stroller users are asked to plan extra time for clearance. Pets are not permitted.
Proceeds will go to the Westover Galaxy Community Council to support Westover military families and to help launch events connected to the 2027 Great New England Air Show. The deadline to guarantee a race shirt passed on 9/1/2026; registrations after that date are eligible for remaining shirts on a first come, first served basis.
A charity car show is scheduled the same day on the other side of the airport and will include vehicle competitions, period music, food trucks, and raffles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
