43rd Annual Westminster Road Runners Main Street Mile
The event is scheduled for April 8, 2026 in Westminster, Maryland. Packet pick up and post race activities are at the Westminster Family Center, 11 Longwell Avenue. The start line is located about one mile east on Main Street and the finish is near the Carroll County Public Library at the intersection of Main Street and Route 27.
Racing is organized in two heats. Heat 1 is officially timed and scored using timing chips in the race bib; participants are recommended to be age 11 and over and able to run a ten minute mile or faster. Heat 2 is a fun run for participants age 10 and under and for those who run slower than a ten minute mile; this heat is not officially timed.
Entry options are listed with and without a shirt; the typical fees are ten dollars without a shirt and fifteen dollars with a shirt. Race day registration and a limited number of shirts may be available. Online registration and in person registration windows are specified by the organizer.
Packet pick up is available on the Monday and Tuesday before the event and on event day during stated hours. Finish medals are provided to each finisher in both heats and ice cream sandwiches are offered back at the Westminster Family Center. Heat 1 awards include cash and place medals for top finishers and masters and age group recognitions. Heat 2 recognizes the top male and top female age ten and under with a memorial award.
The course is a road course with a 144 foot net drop from start to finish. Course records stand at 3:54.6 for men and 4:32.9 for women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
