Logistics and requirements

All runners must carry Level B standard mandatory kit: waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent. The final kit to be carried will be confirmed at registration and may depend on conditions. Runners should have the means to carry the required items. Failure to have the required kit may result in denied entry or disqualification; random checks may be carried out. The race finishes in Leenane (Leenaun Parking) and participants meet in Leenane to be bussed to the start line. Entry details are not yet published; entries for league events usually open a couple of weeks before the event.

Volunteering

To qualify for the end-of-year prize, a person must complete two non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year. Volunteers are asked to aim for at least one non-running volunteer role for every ten events entered. Running while volunteering does not count toward the two required roles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
