West Virginia Water Festival Trail Race
The inaugural West Virginia Water Festival Trail Race takes place at Bluestone State Park in Hinton, West Virginia. The race is part of the WV State Water Festival and follows the Bluestone River corridor through wooded, riverine terrain.
Course information is given for two distances. Both use an out and back format and start and finish in the pool area at Bluestone State Park.
- 19 Miler out and back from Bluestone State Park to Pipestem and back
- 6 Miler out and back following a similar route for a shorter distance
The route runs along the Bluestone River and passes through rugged, wooded terrain with continuous water views. Awards will be presented to overall winners in each distance. Age group awards may be added if participation numbers allow.
Registration opens May 9, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026. Published registration fees are $35.00 for the 19 Miler and $25.00 for the 6 Miler.
