The West Virginia Trail Fest takes place in Snowshoe, WV in Pocahontas County on May 22-23, 2026. The 100K shows about 11,500 ft of elevation gain, runs through three West Virginia state parks, includes views of the Green Bank Observatory, climbs two historic fire towers, summits two of the three highest peaks in West Virginia, and finishes in Snowshoe Village with a 20-hour cut-off. The 60K is a point-to-point route that starts at Cass Historic Railroad Park, gains about 7,400 ft, climbs two historic fire towers, summits two of the three highest peaks, finishes in Snowshoe Village, and has a 13-hour cut-off. The 30K lists about 3,800 ft of gain, a climb of a historic fire tower, start and finish at Snowshoe Village, and a 10-hour cut-off. The 5K lists about 650 ft of elevation gain.
