Event
West Macs Monster is a multi-distance running event held on the Larapinta Trail in Central Australia. The 2026 edition is scheduled for May 15-17, 2026. An event timeline and travel planner is provided by the organisers. Volunteer registration opens on March 1, 2026. Several races use mandatory safety and clothing requirements that are enforced before race day.

Mandatory gear lists are published separately for each distance. Gear will be checked prior to race day for the 65 km, 128 km and 231 km races. 25 km entrants must sign a declaration confirming they carry the required mandatory gear. The published rules specify that thermals must be woolen and that the jacket must be seam-sealed. Sponsors and partners are listed by the organisers and multiple event documents and results archives are maintained for past editions.
