About the race
The Ekistica West Macs Monster is a multi-distance trail running festival held on the Larapinta Trail through Tjoritja National Park in Central Australia, centred on the Alice Springs area. The 2027 edition is scheduled for May 14–16, 2027. All event distances except the 5km Tele-Monster have sold out for 2027 and there is no waitlist; 5km entries remain available.

Ultra-distance entrants must have an approved qualifying run or a completed plan in place before April 30, 2027; training runs are not accepted as qualifiers. The event provides official documents including mandatory gear lists by distance, event guides, race rules, a cancellation and refund policy, and a participant waiver. Volunteer registration opens March 1, 2027. The event is listed with iTRA and UTMB indexes.
The organiser includes an Acknowledgement of Country that recognises the Western and Central Arrernte people and their connection to the land, sky and waters of the Larapinta Trail corridor.
