Course and format

The overnight 12-hour event covers miles of dark trails and includes heavy carries, military-style calisthenics, and strongman-style work. There are no aid stations on course, and participants must carry their own supplies for the full 12 hours. Participants who complete the full 12-hour event receive a Challenge Coin that is awarded only to finishers.

Gear and policies

Mandatory and recommended items listed by the organizer include a ruck sack or backpack (recommendation: 60 liter), a hydration pack (recommended 70-100 oz), sandbags (men: two 50 lb; women: two 35 lb), two 5-gallon buckets, a headlamp, trail shoes, work gloves, duct tape, pliers, appropriate workout and weather clothing, and enough food, water, and electrolytes for the duration.
