Wendover Woods Running Festival
The Wendover Woods Running Festival takes place in Wendover Woods, near Aston Clinton. The event features multiple distances conducted on woodland paths with views over the Chilterns. Participants navigate a course consisting of gravel and trail paths throughout the forest.
Available distances include:
- Half Marathon: Completed as an out-and-back section followed by 4 laps.
- 10k: Two laps of the designated course.
- 5k: A single lap of the course.
- Junior Race: A single mini-lap designed for younger participants.
The event village provides various food and drink options for attendees. Each kilometre is marked with distance signage, and marshals are stationed along the route to guide runners. The course is fully waymarked to assist with navigation across the forest terrain.
Participants receive a themed medal upon completion. The entry fee also includes chip-timed results, free race photography, and post-race refreshments.
