Welsh 3000's Ultra Run
The Welsh 3000's Ultra Run is a guided mountain run that crosses the 15 Welsh peaks over 3,000 ft in Snowdonia. The route covers the Snowdon range, the Carneddau and the Glyderau and includes the traverse of Crib Goch. The course distance is approximately 30 miles (50 km) with about 4,000 m of total ascent.
The event is led by experienced trail runners who hold British Mountain Leader qualifications and who run with a guide and a support vehicle. Transport to the start and from the finish is included in the price. Food stations offer a selection of hot and cold items intended to sustain participants through the day.
The organiser notes that the route is demanding and that it can be undertaken by runners who have previously completed marathon distance. The event is presented as a guided mountain experience rather than a race.
Entry information specifies a minimum age of 18 and a booking fee of £180. The organiser provides terms and a cancellation and refund policy. Participants may have the option to purchase additional event protection for refunds in certain circumstances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
