We Run Bayview 5K
We Run Bayview is an annual community 5K organized by Young Community Developers. The event returns for its third year on October 17, 2026. The route begins at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area and follows Third Street through Bayview-Hunters Point, finishing within the Bayview neighborhood at a community event.
The race was created to bring neighbors, families, and local organizations together around movement, wellness, and community impact. Proceeds from this year’s event will support the launch of a Healthy Food Bank initiative that aims to increase access to fresh, nutritious food and wellness resources for San Francisco residents.
Registration for the 5K is listed at $30 and includes a meal voucher. Each registered participant receives a voucher that can be redeemed at participating businesses along the Third Street corridor. Participants can exchange their bib for a meal after the race. The event also connects attendees with local organizations, health resources, and community partners, and it is held in association with community activities in Bayview-Hunters Point.
The event location and route highlight Candlestick Point State Recreation Area and the historic Third Street corridor, reflecting a focus on local public spaces and neighborhood businesses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
