We Run As One is the second annual 1-mile color fun run organized by the Youth Advisory Council, a group of high school students from across Fulton County. The event is an untimed walk/run where colored corn starch is released along the course.
- 1 mile - Adults (18 and up)
- 1 mile - Youth (ages 5-17)
The gathering also includes free family games, activities, vendor tables, and community resource booths. The event is described as substance-free, inclusive, and welcoming regardless of age, ability, or background.
The event emphasizes connection and youth mental health. The organizer highlights that 18% of Fulton County youth report having no one to talk to when they are struggling, and the program focuses especially on students transitioning from 8th to 9th grade.
Safety and event rules note that strollers are allowed but should start toward the rear of the group to avoid trip hazards, pets are not permitted except service animals, and children ages 5 through 10 must be physically accompanied by an adult. Colored corn starch can irritate eyes and the respiratory system; people with breathing conditions or who are pregnant are advised to consult a doctor. There is no rain date and registration fees are non-refundable if the event is canceled.
