We Love Teachers 5K - Houston
The We Love Teachers 5K in Houston is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands. The event is part of a nationwide series of in-person races and virtual participation that make up a National Day to Move for Education, with a collective goal of 100,000 miles walked or run for educators.
The 5K is chip timed and provides official race bibs, finisher medals, and an official event shirt for all participants. Results are available locally and on a national leaderboard in real time. Participants may dedicate their run to a specific teacher; that teacher receives a personal digital certificate when a dedication is added during registration before October 10.
The event includes a school challenge and a National School Spirit Leaderboard where registered school teams and virtual participants contribute to a school total. Awards are given by overall male and female finishers and by age-group categories for male and female competitors, including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. New award categories for the year include Most School Spirit, Fastest Teacher, Team Champion for lowest average time with a minimum team size, and a Legacy Award for best parent-child duo time.
