We Are One EHE Prostate Cancer Ride in Rocky Mount, NC
The event is a charity cycling and walk/run event organized to support Emmanual Health Education's prostate cancer awareness and research efforts, with a focus on outreach to African American men in Edgecombe County, NC and beyond. It takes place in Rocky Mount, NC at Thornes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on June 27, 2026.
Participants can choose from multiple supported routes and untimed walk/run options. Distances offered include:
- 75 mile supported ride
- 60 mile supported ride
- 40 mile supported ride
- 20 mile supported ride
- 5k untimed walk/run
- 1k untimed walk/run
Each cycling route is supported by the Edgecombe County Sheriff Office for traffic control and by SAG vehicles. Rest stop provisions vary by route: the 20 mile route has two rest stops, the 40 mile has four, and the 60 and 75 mile routes each have five; rest stops are stocked with health food and hydrating fluids. Volunteers will staff rest stops with radios to communicate with event command and emergency services. Registered participants receive route support, cue sheets, a rider bib, continental breakfast and a post-ride meal. A free T-shirt is available for pre-registrations completed by May 31, 2026 while supplies last.
Participant packets include the numbered bib, an adhesive helmet sticker, and a timing chip. Precision Race provides timing, results, and start/finish photos.
