Wayzata Boo Bash Dash
The Wayzata Boo Bash Dash is an annual Halloween themed running event held in downtown Wayzata. The event features timed races and a family fun run, and costumes are encouraged. Pre and post-race festivities take place at The Great Lawn at The Promenade.
Distances offered include:
- 10K timed race
- 5K timed race
- Competitive Lake Street Mile one mile race along the waterfront
- Family fun run and additional short runs
Awards are presented for the 10K and 5K races. The competitive Lake Street Mile uses a straight course along Wayzata's waterfront and includes the opportunity for purse money for top finishers. Organizers list race routes, parking and directions, FAQs, sponsor information, and volunteer opportunities as part of the event program.
The event is presented by the local chamber and supported by community sponsors. The overall format combines timed competition for several distances with community activities and family oriented festivities in a central downtown setting.
