Wayne Crime Stoppers Caper Chase
The Wayne Crime Stoppers Caper Chase is a running event supporting the local Crime Stoppers organization. The event offers both in-person and virtual options. The in-person event is scheduled for May 30, 2026, at 100 E. Chestnut Street in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
The event includes these distances:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Virtual events are also available:
- Virtual 10K
- Virtual 5K
Virtual races can be completed anywhere between May 30 and June 7, with results submitted via the RaceJoy app. The RaceJoy app will also be available for the in-person race, offering features like live GPS tracking and progress alerts.
Registration fees increase after May 24, 2026. Early registration prices are $20 for the 1 Mile, $25 for the 5K/Virtual 5K, and $35 for the 10K/Virtual 10K. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by May 6th. Shirts for virtual participants will be shipped.
The event awards medals to the top three overall male and female runners, as well as the top three in each age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
