Wawayanda Trail Fest
Wawayanda Trail Fest takes place in Hewitt, New Jersey at the Wawayanda State Park boat launch on April 25, 2026. The course winds through the hills of northern New Jersey, passing rhododendron tunnels, marsh bridges, gravel roads and single track. The full loop measures more than 26 miles and has only two road crossings, both inside the park.
Distances:
- 100K
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- Half Marathon (approx 13 to 14 miles)
Course formats: the Half Marathon is one loop, the 50K follows the full loop (north and south), the 50 Mile is the full loop twice plus the south loop, and the 100K is the full loop twice. There are three aid stations: Maraschino, BaseCamp and Thirsty Dog (water only). Maraschino is about 7 miles into the first loop and does not allow crews, spectators or drop bags. BaseCamp sits at the start/finish and parking area and is the designated location for crews, pacers and spectators. The half uses one aid station; the longer distances visit multiple stations.
Aid station provisions typically include electrolyte hydration, fruit, pb&j, potatoes, pretzels, chips and some hot items. Vegan and gluten free options are available. Pacers are allowed for the 50K, 50 Mile and 100K at specified miles; no pacers are allowed for the half. Crews are allowed only at BaseCamp and must operate in the marked area.
Parking and the start/finish are at the boat ramp/boathouse parking lot with entry through the east park entrance off Warwick Turnpike. Onsite Friday night camping is available for a per group fee. Every finisher receives a finisher award and top awards are given 1st–3rd in Non-Binary, Female and Male categories for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
