Watson Strong 5k Color Fun Run
The Watson Strong 5k Color Fun Run is the third annual event held in Vidalia, Louisiana, at 112 Front Street. The course covers 3.1 Miles and begins at the base of the levee across from Vidalia Upper Elementary School. The route follows Concordia Avenue, continues onto Concordia Extension to a turnaround point, and returns to the start/finish area.
Several color stations are positioned along the course so participants accumulate color during the run. The event is family oriented; strollers and wagons are permitted. Organizers plan two waves, with a runners' wave followed shortly by a walkers' wave.
Post-race activities are centered in the amphitheater area and include music, photo opportunities, a merchandise tent, and multiple vendors. Registration information provided by the organizer lists a fee of $30 and states that registration closes October 22, 2026. Registered participants receive a white t-shirt and a swag bag; the swag bag for out-of-town participants includes whole body wash cloths.
The event is dedicated to the memory of a four-year-old boy who battled a rare brain cancer and who received care at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
