Watson Strong 5k Color Fun Run
The Watson Strong 5k Color Fun Run is the third annual community color run in Vidalia, Louisiana, scheduled for November 14, 2026 at 112 Front Street. The course begins at the base of the levee across from Vidalia Upper Elementary School, follows Concordia Avenue and Concordia Extension with a turnaround on the Extension, and returns to the start/finish area.
The event is a family oriented fun run and walk covering 3.1 miles. Strollers and wagons are permitted. Organizers plan two waves, a runners' wave and a walkers' wave. Several color stations are positioned along the route so participants are colorful by the end.
An after race program at the amphitheater area includes music, photo opportunities, vendors, and a merchandise tent. Registration opens August 15, 2026 and the registration fee is $30. Registered participants receive a white t shirt and a swag bag; swag bags for out of town participants include full body wash cloths.
The event is presented in memory of a four year old child who battled a rare brain cancer. Proceeds support the Watson Strong Foundation, which aids families facing similar situations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
