Waterville Half Triathlon
Waterville Half Triathlon is scheduled for July 11th, 2026. The event follows a half-distance triathlon format with a one-lap cycle and a four-lap run.
The cycle course is a single lap that goes through Coomaciste, Sneem, Ballaghbeama and Ballaghisheen. The run consists of four flat laps along the cliff with the return along the promenade in front of the transition area.
All routes are signposted and marshalled at the main junctions. Route maps are provided for participants. Entry is limited to 400 competitors and registration closes when that number is reached. Competitors must hold either a full Triathlon Ireland license or a one-day license purchased through Triathlon Ireland.
Prizes include cash awards for the top three overall finishers (First €750, Second €600, Third €500), age-group prizes with minimum-entry conditions, cash bonuses for target times in men’s and women’s categories, and a relay prize of €600. Race numbers are collected at the Lobster Bar in Waterville on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
