Valentia Half and 10k 2026

Valentia Half and 10k is scheduled for Saturday 4 April 2026 on Valentia Island, Ireland. The course runs along the Atlantic coast and offers continuous coastal views, with Dingle Bay and the Blaskets to the right and the Skelligs to the left.

Event distances:

  • Half Marathon
  • 10 km

From 2024 the event adopted a green policy. T-shirts are optional and are added for those who choose them; the basic entry fee was reduced to reflect this. All finishers receive a medal. The organisers are removing single use plastics and will publish how water will be dispensed in advance.

For 2026 the organisers will donate 10 percent of all race entries to two local charities: Valentia Community Hospital and Tigh an Oilean, a community house for adults with special needs.

Entry details note an age requirement of 16 years on race day. Entry fees shown for 2026 include a Half Marathon entry priced at €45 and a 10 km entry priced at €40; an additional booking fee of 8 percent applies and online transaction fees are excluded. The event policy states that no deferral, transfer, or refund will be given. A third party insurance option is available during registration, costing approximately €4 to €5 and covering the entry fee for injury or illness. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
