Waterside Half Marathon
The Waterside Half Marathon is an annual event held in Derry. The course for the 43rd edition begins and ends at Ebrington Square. The route crosses the river to the cityside, passing through various local parks, greenways, and across bridges.
Participants can choose from three different categories:
- 13.1 miles for individual runners
- 13.1 miles for wheelchair athletes
- 3-person Relay Team distance
The individual running and wheelchair events are open to participants aged 17 or over on the day of the race. Those participating in the three-person relay team must be at least 15 years old. The event is open to athletes of various levels and abilities.
Registration must be completed in advance, with an entry deadline set for early August. The event requires an entry fee for both individual participants and relay teams.
