Waterloo Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk "A Tribute To The Fallen"
The event is a 5K run/walk held in the Village of Waterloo, New York, noted as the birthplace of Memorial Day. A virtual 5K option is also offered for participants who do not attend in person.
Registrations are accepted online only. Pre-registration through May 21 is listed at $30.00 with a reduced fee of $15.00 for children age 12 and under. Race weekend entry fees increase to $35.00 and $20.00 for children under 12. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who pre-register by May 5.
Packet pickup takes place at Waterloo High School on race day morning. Chip timing is provided by Leone Timing and water is available on the course. The course is certified by USATF with identifier NY16107KL.
Awards include a $100 prize for the first male and first female finishers. Age group awards are provided across age ranges beginning at 0-10 and extending to 70 and over. First place finishers in each age group receive a champion shirt, and second and third places receive placement shirts. Results and awards are distributed immediately at the conclusion of the race.
