Walk, Run & Roll Waterford Pumpkinfest
Waterford Pumpkinfest hosts the fourth Walk, Run & Roll event on October 18, 2026. The event offers three distances on the Waterford trail network and is open to walkers, runners and rollers, including wheelchairs and running strollers. Bicycles are not permitted.
Routes start and finish largely on the Waterford Heritage Trail. Distances are:
- 2 km route on paved trails crossing Sunrise Bridge and Sunset Bridge.
- 6.5 km mixed paved and gravel route with a water station at 5 km.
- 13 km mostly paved with a short crushed stone section, water stations at 5 km and 10 km, finishing at Shadow Lake Park near Wishbone.
Pre registration is required; same day registration is not accepted. Registration is required to be entered for race placings, random draw prizes and the costume contest. Timing will be done manually and finish line photos and timed results will be shared. Refreshments including hot chocolate or coffee will be available at the finish, and Halloween treat bags will be handed out to children 13 and under.
A costume contest awards gift card prizes across categories. The event is free and volunteers will mark the trail and support participants along the routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
