Walk, Run & Roll

Walk, Run & Roll is an inclusive community race held as part of Waterford Pumpkinfest. The event offers three distances and encourages participants to wear Halloween costumes for a chance to win prizes in a costume contest with four categories.

All participants must pre-register; registration is not accepted on the day of the event. Registration is required to be eligible for costume contest prizes, random draw prizes and podium prizes for first, second and third place finishers. This is not a chipped event; volunteers at the finish line will record times.

The courses use the Waterford Heritage Trail network and cross local landmarks and bridges. Routes include paved and gravel sections and pass beside ponds, through forests and near farms. The event welcomes walkers, runners and rollers (wheelchairs, running strollers, and similar), but bicycles are not permitted. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Water and refreshments are available for registered participants, with water stations noted on longer routes and refreshments at the finish line. Children 13 and under receive Halloween treat bags at the finish. Organizers are seeking volunteers to help run the 2026 Walk, Run & Roll.
