Greenway Half Marathon 2026
West Waterford Athletic Club will host the Greenway Half Marathon on 29th August 2026 in County Waterford. The event is a point to point 13.1 mile race that starts at the Coachhouse in Kilmacthomas and finishes near Ballinroad, Dungarvan. The course follows the old Waterford Dungarvan railway line, a 47 km off road cycling and walking trail that opened officially in 2017.
The permit for this race has been approved, certificate number 26/379. A race limit of 750 applies and entries close on 7th August 2026 or when the limit is reached. Online ticket sales are available between 1st July 2026 and 7th August 2026. The refund window opens on 24th July 2026; additional places may become available depending on refunds from current registrants.
Entry fee details include a listed adult entry price of €50. The fee includes bus travel from Ballinroad to the start line in Kilmacthomas and a Greenway T shirt; it does not include a bus back to Kilmacthomas.
The event will raise funds for the West Waterford Athletic Club Track Fund, which aims to develop an eight lane running track in Dungarvan.
