Warwickshire Triathlon
The Warwickshire Triathlon takes place at Stratford Leisure Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday 4th October 2026. The event combines a heated indoor pool swim, an 18 km cycle lap through the Warwickshire countryside, and a flat run along the River Avon towpath.
The pool is 33 metres long. Swim distances:
- Sprint and Relay: 400 m (12 lengths)
- Super Sprint and Fun: 200 m (6 lengths)
The bike course is one flat 18 km lap that heads out towards Warwick and returns to Stratford. The run uses a 2.5 km flat out-and-back lap alongside the River Avon; Sprint and Relay complete two laps for 5 km, Super Sprint and Fun complete one lap for 2.5 km. The course is spectator friendly with the main transition area and finish located at the rear of the Leisure Centre and the Leisure and Visitor Centre.
All competitors must count their own swim lengths and bike and run laps. It is compulsory to wear a cycle helmet during the cycle section. The event uses electronic chip timing and awards an official finisher medal to all entrants. There are category options including Sprint, Super Sprint, Fun, Sprint Relay, CRUK Wave, and CRUK team relay. For the CRUK Wave the distances are 200 m swim, 18 km cycle, 2.5 km run and the organiser donates £10 from each CRUK Wave entry to Cancer Research UK. Minimum age is 16 years on race day.
