Warriors of Hope 5K and 1K Fun Run
Warriors of Hope is a community event held in memory of a woman who died from gastric cancer in November 2023. The event focuses on awareness, education, community support, and fundraising for the stomach cancer community. It is the Second Annual edition and takes place at Meyer Park in Spring, Texas on November 7, 2026.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 miles - 5K (in-person)
- 1 kilometer - Kids 1K
- 3.1 miles - Virtual 5K (participate anywhere)
Registration details differ by event. In-person 5K and Kids 1K registrations open March 24, 2026 and close September 30, 2026 with listed fees of $35.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the Kids 1K. The Virtual 5K registration also opens March 24, 2026 and closes November 5, 2026 with a fee of $40.00. Shirts are included for the 5K and Virtual 5K; preferred shirt sizes are not guaranteed after October 13, 2026.
Participants receive finisher medals. The day includes a tribute to the person being honored and recognition for survivors and caregivers. Awards and acknowledgement are planned for top fundraisers overall and by sex for each event. Peer to peer fundraising is available to raise awareness and support for affected patients and families.
