Warrior Welcome Week: Warrior Pride 5K

The Warrior Pride 5K is a community run and walk held on August 28, 2026 at Gullen Mall, Wayne State University, Detroit MI. The event brings together students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, friends, and community supporters to promote health and wellness at the start of the school year. The 5K course is officially certified and professionally timed, and course photography will be available for participants.

Registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes August 28, 2026. General admission for the 5K is $10. A special rate is available for current students and faculty or staff with OneCard verification at packet pick up. Registration includes a finisher medal and post race snacks and beverages. T shirts are guaranteed for the first 400 registered participants, with preferred size guaranteed by August 5.

Packet pick up is available at the Student Success Hub in the Undergraduate Library on Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to form or join teams to participate together. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
