Run Through the Danada Forest Preserve
The Warrior Rush event takes place Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, Illinois. The course runs through the prairie of the Danada-Herrick Lake Regional Trail, utilizing a crushed limestone surface. The start and finish lines are located near the horse track.
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- Half Marathon (two laps of the course)
- 10K
- 5K
The race is professionally chip-timed with live results. Water stations are positioned at the turnaround points for all three distances and at the finish line. Registration includes a ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a custom finisher medal, and event photos. Following the race, participants are provided with snacks.
The event supports the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining local forest preserves and trails. The course is open to runners, walkers, and strollers, though participants should be aware of the uneven ground. Dogs are permitted if they remain on a leash. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various age groups, as well as overall and masters categories. Free parking is available at the DuPage County Forest Preserve District Headquarters and the Danada Equestrian Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
