Ware Festival of Running
The Ware Festival of Running is a road and riverside event taking place on Sunday 5 July 2026. The programme includes multiple distances and children’s races that use routes along the River Lee Navigation between Hertford and Ware, permitted by the Canal & River Trust.

One hundred percent of money raised is donated to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. That charity provides a free Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for critically ill and injured people in Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas and reports operating costs of more than £500,000 each month.
The event acknowledges permission and support from the Canal & River Trust and lists local sponsors and partners, including Ware Town Council and several local businesses.
