Walk to Remember, Walk for Hope
The Preble County Mental Health & Recovery Board, in partnership with the Suicide Prevention Coalition, organizes an annual suicide prevention walk and 5K in Eaton, Ohio. The event is dedicated in memory of community members who have died by suicide and aims to raise awareness about the importance of mental health care. Proceeds from the event benefit local suicide prevention programming.
The 15th annual Walk to Remember, Walk for Hope is scheduled for September 12, 2026. Online registration is available and organizers offer a sponsorship form. Pre-registration is listed at $20; by pre-registering participants save $5 and are guaranteed a t-shirt. Each participant, including children, must complete a registration form and pay the registration fee to receive a t-shirt. Participants may upload a photo of a loved one to be displayed along the walkway during the event; uploaded files have a maximum size of 20 MB.
