ORRRC Sweetheart Shuffle 5k : basic info
The ORRRC Sweetheart Shuffle 5k is a 5-kilometer event held in Eaton, Ohio, presented by the Ohio River Road Runners Club, a 100% all-volunteer 501(c)(3) Ohio non-profit club. The event includes the following distances:
- 5k run
- 5k walk
The event features a timed walking division; registrants must designate runner or walker when they register.
Entry, course and logistics
The course is an out-and-back on roads in the Preble County YMCA area at 450 Washington Jackson Rd, Eaton, OH 45320. Chip timing is provided and participants pick up chips at the registration table on race day. There will be refreshments. The event does not include shirts or finisher medals; small age-group awards may be given.
Entry fees and membership:
- All current ORRRC members run for free.
- Non-members: $10 for ages 15 and up; free for ages 14 and under.
Minors may be pre-registered by a parent or guardian and must have a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Individual registrants may form casual two-person teams at the event; combined times for the top three teams will be published, but there are no two-person team awards. Overall awards include male and female runner, overall walker, and top three in 10-year age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
