Location, cost and logistics
The in-person event is held at Minnechaug Regional High School, 621 Main St, Wilbraham, MA 01095. Registration is listed as $30; the event description also specifies fees of $30 for adults, $15 for anyone 17 and under, and that children 5 and under are free. Memory Lane signs to honor a loved one can be purchased for $10 on the race store before April 1. Pre-registration before April 11 guarantees a short-sleeve cotton shirt, and shirt and bib pickup is available on race day. The event will take place rain or shine.
Purpose and beneficiary
All proceeds from the walk and run benefit Rick’s Place. Rick’s Place is a nonprofit founded in 2007 that provides grief support to youth and their parents or guardians. Services described include free on-site grief support programs held two evenings a month, grief support groups in area schools, and professional development trainings for school personnel and practitioners.
