Walk A Mile In Her Shoes: Stilettos & Strides 5K
Walk A Mile In Her Shoes: Stilettos & Strides 5K is the Brainerd Lakes Area's 14th annual event hosted by Sexual Assault Services. The event focuses on raising awareness about sexual violence and supporting survivors. Funds raised support advocacy services, prevention education, and resources for people affected by sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and other forms of sexual violence provided by a local nonprofit.
The event combines a new 5K run along the scenic trails of the Northern Arboretum with the signature Walk A Mile In Her Shoes tradition. The Walk A Mile portion is presented as a family friendly activity open to all ages, and high heels in a variety of sizes will be available for participants who wish to take part in that tradition.
