Walk-A-Mile-In-Her-Shoes: Stilettos and Strides 5K
This community event raises awareness and funds for Sexual Assault Services, a local nonprofit that provides free and confidential support to people impacted by sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and all forms of sexual violence. The event combines a timed trail run, a themed walk, and related activities.

- 3.2 Miles: timed trail run (5K), registration fee $30
- 1 Miles: Walk in heels, optional, registration fee $0
- T Shirt purchase only: guarantees size, fee $15
The timed 3.2 mile trail run takes place on trails at the Northland Arboretum and awards medals to top runners in each male and female age group. Age groups listed for awards are: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & older. Organizers note the 5K was added in response to community interest and that its registration fee helps cover timing and event logistics.
