CLC 5K Race : 5K for Mental Health Awareness
The 5K for Mental Health Awareness is co-hosted by Central Lakes College and Crow Wing Energized to highlight the importance of mental health in the community. Proceeds are directed to local mental health organizations or nonprofits and to a CLC program such as the CLC Food Pantry, providing support to CLC students and the local community.
The event takes place on the last Saturday in April and begins and ends at the CLC Brainerd campus. It includes a community resource fair showcasing local mental health support and services. Distances offered:
- 5k Run
- 1 Mile Walk
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Standard entry pricing for the 5k Run or 1 Mile Walk is $25 through January 15, $30 through April 23, and $35 on race day. Student pricing for 5th–12th grade and CLC students is $10 through April 23 and $15 on race day. Kids 10 and under are free without a shirt. Alternate options include participation without a shirt for $20 and a shirt only option for $15.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Central Lakes College or on the morning of the event. Awards are given to the top male, top female, and overall nonbinary racer, and all participants receive a finisher sticker. Age groups span 10 & under through 70 & over.
