5k for Mental Health Awareness : Brainerd, MN
This community run and walk takes place in Brainerd, Minnesota and is organized by Central Lakes College in partnership with Crow Wing Energized. The event offers two distances:
- 5k Run
- 1 Mile Walk
All ages and abilities may participate. Participants in the 5k must finish within 45 minutes; those who cannot meet that time are encouraged to enter the 1 mile division. Strollers and friendly dogs on leashes are allowed; participants with strollers or dogs should start at the back of the pack. The event proceeds and donations will benefit Reel North Alliance at Pequot High School and RAK Random Acts of Kindness at Central Lakes College.
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Fee tiers listed by the organizer include early and late registration prices for the 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk, student pricing for grades 5 through 12 and Central Lakes College students, a no-shirt entry option, free entry for children 10 and under, and a shirt-only purchase. Registrations received by April 15 are guaranteed the poly-blend race shirt. Packet pickup is available at Central Lakes College on the days before and the morning of the event. The event is held rain or shine and is nonrefundable.
All participants receive a finisher sticker. Awards are given to top male and female finishers in each age group and to the overall nonbinary racer. Age groups start at 10 and under and continue through 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
