Event Overview
The event is a 5k run or 1-mile walk for mental health awareness taking place on April 25, 2026, in Brainerd, Minnesota. The event is organized by Central Lakes College and Crow Wing Energized. Funds raised support the Reel North Alliance at Pequot High School and the Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) program at Central Lakes College.

Registration Details
Registration opens on January 1, 2026. Pricing is structured as follows:
- General 5k or 1-mile: $25 until January 15, $30 until April 23, $35 on race day.
- Student pricing (5th-12th grade and CLC students): $10 until April 23, $15 on race day.
- A no-shirt participation option is available for $20.
- Children 10 and under can participate for free (no shirt included).
Schedule & Location
The event starts at Central Lakes College. Packet pickup is available on Friday, April 24 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, and again on Saturday, April 25 starting at 7:30 AM. The 5k run begins at 9:00 AM, with the 1-mile walk starting immediately after.
Participant Information
All ages and abilities are welcome. Participants in the 5k run must complete the course within 45 minutes. Strollers and friendly dogs on leashes are permitted, with a request to start at the back of the pack. The event proceeds rain or shine, and no refunds are offered. All participants receive a finisher sticker.
Awards
Awards are given to the top male and female finishers in each age group, as well as to the overall nonbinary racer. Age groups range from 10 & under to 70 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
