CLC 5K Race - 5K for Mental Health Awareness
The 5K for Mental Health Awareness is co‑hosted by Central Lakes College and Crow Wing Energized and is presented as a community event at the CLC Brainerd campus. The event aims to highlight the importance of mental health in the community and to provide tangible support to local residents and students.
Proceeds from the event are directed toward local mental health organizations or nonprofits and toward a Central Lakes College program such as the CLC Food Pantry. The event includes a community resource fair that showcases local mental health support and services.
Event formats offered:
- 5k run
- 1 mile walk
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Fee structure for the 5k run or 1 mile walk is tiered by date: $25 through January 15, $30 through April 23, and $35 on race day. Student pricing for grades 5 through 12 and CLC students is $10 through April 23 and $15 on race day. A no shirt participation option is available for $20. Kids 10 and under may participate free with no shirt included. A shirt only option is listed at $15.
Race awards are presented to the top male, the top female, and the overall nonbinary racer. All participants receive a finisher sticker. Age group categories are provided for participant classification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
