About the race
The Wagga 5000 is a community track running event held on 7 November 2026 at the Bill Jacob Athletics Track in Wagga Wagga. The event is a 5000 m track format, with multiple 5000 m races run as 12.5 laps on the athletics track. Participants select a target 5 km time and are grouped into pace groups so they run with others of a similar speed. The event releases a full schedule one week before race day, and entrants may change their chosen pace group up to one week prior.
