Wadebridge Triathlon | The Camel
The Wadebridge Triathlon is a pool-based triathlon held at Wadebridge Leisure Centre in Wadebridge, Cornwall (PL27 6BU). The swim takes place in the leisure centre pool. The bike course uses quiet, near-coast roads and includes rolling or undulating terrain. The run drops downhill towards Wadebridge town centre and continues along the Camel Trail beside the estuary towards Padstow.
The event offers junior races on the same day and awards a medal to every finisher. It forms part of the Cornish Tri Series. Series scoring uses each athlete's best four results and requires athletes to complete a minimum of four scoring events and either volunteer themselves or bring a volunteer to at least one event to qualify for overall series awards. Age group categories are defined for series ranking.
Volunteer roles cover setup, registration, swim/bike/run marshals, transition and finish line duties, with a minimum volunteer age of 13 for most roles. Volunteer incentives include a 50% credit for bringing a volunteer and a 100% credit for volunteering oneself; credits are applied to the organiser's wallet system after the event. Race results are published by the organiser in the event results section 24 hours after the event. All participants receive a completion medal.
