WA Brewery Running Series - 5k Beer Run x Elysian Brewing Fields
This event is a 5kish fun run that begins and ends at Elysian Brewing Fields in Seattle. The mapped course travels along the SODO Mural Project Trail and uses public roads. The run is untimed and non-competitive; participants may run, jog, or walk the course.
The event is organized by Washington Brewery Running Series and follows a model that combines activity with social elements and community support. Ten percent of proceeds from this run benefit Veterans of the Arts. The Brewery Running Series reports that more than $500,000 has been raised across 20+ states to date.
Registration includes one craft beverage from Elysian Brewing Fields, a collector's pint glass or series swag item, and access to on-site entertainment, games, and giveaways. The event is family friendly and pet friendly. Participants who wish to consume alcohol must present valid ID; underage participants receive a token for a non-alcoholic beverage.
The event takes place rain or shine and operates as an open course on public roads, so participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws and being aware of their surroundings.
