Vyshyvanka Run NYC 2026
Vyshyvanka Run NYC 2026 takes place on August 22, 2026, in Riverside Park at the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial in New York, NY. The event comprises an in-person 5K run/walk, a virtual 5K option with result submission, and a short kids run for ages 0 to 12.

Registration opens and closes on specified dates for each event. In-person 5K registration opens May 23, 2026 and closes August 21, 2026 with a fee of $40. Virtual 5K registration opens May 23, 2026 and closes August 22, 2026 with a fee of $45. Kids race registration opens May 6, 2026 and closes August 21, 2026; the kids race has no registration fee.
Participants are invited to wear Vyshyvankas, the Ukrainian traditional shirt; virtual participants may attach a photo and a medal will be mailed to virtual finishers. The stated objectives are to raise money, to promote Ukrainian culture in New York City, and to provide a communal running experience. Proceeds are designated to help Ukraine; they will finance a drone for an artillery brigade with a listed cost of 105,000 plus 15,000 for the controller in UAH, and remaining funds will support the child rehabilitation center Nadia in Lubny.
