Vulcan's Fury Trail Race
Vulcan's Fury Trail Race is a rugged trail running event at Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham, New Hampshire, held on October 11, 2026. The event offers multiple course lengths and lists $7,500 in prize money for 2026. The event takes place during peak New Hampshire fall foliage.
The course travels over hiking trails with technical sections that require careful negotiation. Features include a massive boulder field, dense forest, single-track switchbacks, stream crossings, bridges, and a rocky slope known as the Devil's Staircase. The combination of distance, elevation, and terrain requires sustained physical effort and trail skills.

The half marathon includes aid stations at Round Pond (about mile 4.3), the corner of Mountain Road and South Ridge connector (about mile 7.4), and the Mountain Trail Woronoco split (about mile 10.4). There are cutoffs on the half marathon at aid station 2 (about mile 7.7, 2.5 hours) and at aid station 3 (about mile 10, 3.5 hours); participants who miss these cutoffs will be transported back to the start/finish area. GPX files are provided for each course. The pavilion location is listed as 128 Mountain Road, Nottingham NH, with coordinates 43°05'15.9"N 71°09'36.1"W; some GPS systems may display 163 Mountain Rd.
