About the race
The 27th Volta Internacional da Pampulha is an individual road race held in Belo Horizonte on 6 December 2026. The official distance of the main event is 18.079 m, and the course runs around the Pampulha architectural complex, with passages by historical works of architect Oscar Niemeyer. The arena, start and finish are located at the intersection of Av. Antônio Abrahão Caran and Av. Coronel Coronel Oscar Paschoal, adjacent to the Mineirão stadium.
The event offers specific competition categories for Elite A/B (men and women), Pelotão Premium, Pelotão Geral, Athletes with Disability and a separate wheelchair category. There are defined procedures and deadlines for athletes with disabilities, including document submission and guided entries. The race provides support infrastructure for registered athletes: medical assistance, hydration and food stations, toilets and a bag drop area. Aid stations are placed along the route (including near km 4, km 7, km 10, km 13 and km 16).
Kits and timing chips are distributed in a pre-race expo at Power Shopping Centerminas in Belo Horizonte on 3–5 December 2026; the kit must be collected in the scheduled time and will not be available on race day. The organization limits entries and describes rules on bib use, chip care, classification, and prize awards for elite placings.
