Course details
The half marathon course crosses the Huguenot Bridge, runs alongside the James River, passes Riverside Meadows and Pony Pasture, goes through Forest Hill Avenue and Westover Hills, crosses the Nickel Bridge, passes the historic Carillon, and returns via Windsor Farms and River Road to the University of Richmond campus. The half marathon has a course limit of 3.5 hours and cutoffs at mile 6.5 and mile 10. The 5k runs through campus, along River Road, out and back on the Huguenot Bridge, and finishes near Westhampton Lake. The 5k has a course limit of 1.5 hours and a cutoff at mile 1. Courses are subject to change.
Entry, inclusions, and policies
Listed prices are $95 for the half and $45 for the 5k, with prices increasing after February 4, 2026. Minimum ages are 12 for the half and 6 for the 5k. Entries are non-refundable. Deferrals to 2027 are allowed through February 20 for a fee ($20 half, $10 5k). Race switching and virtual switches have stated fees and conditions. Every participant receives a long sleeve technical shirt, finisher medal, bib with chip timing, and access to the post race festival with two drink tickets. Half marathon participants also receive a branded canvas tote.
Rules
The race follows USATF and RRCA rules. In-line skates, skateboards, bicycles, handcycles, animals, strollers, baby joggers, and baby carriers are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
