Vineyard Days Running Events
The Vineyard Days celebration in Vineyard, Utah, includes two running events organized by the city. Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 5K
- 1K (Kids race)
The 5K course is designed on flat city trails that pass through a local park and run alongside a former wetlands area. The route offers views of Utah Lake. Due to the flat terrain, the course provides an opportunity for participants to seek personal best times. The 1K race is specifically designated for children, though parents or guardians may run alongside them without a separate registration.
Strollers are permitted in both the 5K and the 1K events. While stroller participants are welcome, children in strollers are excluded from winning overall or age division awards in the 5K category. Age divisions for the 5K competition are categorized by gender and include groups for those under 14, various brackets between ages 14 and 59, and a 60+ category.
Top overall male and female finishers in the 5K receive gift cards to a local running store and are recognized as first-place winners in their respective age divisions. The top male and female finishers in the 1K also receive gift cards. All finishers in both races receive participation medals, and the top three finishers in each age division of the 5K receive additional medals. Participants registered by the end of May are entered into a raffle featuring items from local businesses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
