About the race
The Swedbank Vilniaus maratonas is the largest running event in Lithuania, taking place on September 13, 2026. The courses are set within the Old Town of Vilnius, providing participants with the opportunity to run through the city's historical center.
The event offers a wide range of distances for different interests:
- Marathon (42.195 km)
- Half Marathon (21.098 km)
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Walking (3 km, 4 km, or 10 km)
- Children’s run (200 m)
Registration fees vary based on the date of entry, with price increases scheduled periodically until the end of August. Participants who register by May 31 receive personalized numbers. All finishers in the marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, walking, and children’s run categories receive special commemorative medals.
For logistical arrangements, a storage facility for personal belongings is available in Cathedral Square on the day of the event. Participants may store one bag, which must be labeled with their bib number. Portable toilets are also provided near the gathering areas. Race numbers must be attached to the chest and kept visible at all times, as they contain the timing chip used to record results.
Preparation training sessions are organized in Vilnius throughout the summer leading up to the race. Additionally, the event features an emotional health walk in collaboration with the Youth Line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
