About the race
Vikingesporet Roskilde is a trail running event in Roskilde with routes along Roskilde Fjord and accessible natural terrain. The start area is located by the Viking Ship Museum and the event is organized by Trailman.dk.
Distances offered include:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21.1 km (half marathon)
- Children's runs 2 km and 5 km
The route is primarily an out-and-back along the water, offering clear navigation and scenic views. An alternative route option returns via the outer edge of Boserup Forest to provide more variation in terrain while retaining runnable trails. The course contains no technical MTB tracks and can be run in ordinary running shoes.
Participants receive a race bib with an integrated chip and electronic timing is used. Race numbers are issued before the start. Participation is personal and transfers or changes require approval from the organizer. Changes of name or distance related to resale or transfer must be completed no later than 10 days before the event. Requests to move an entry to the following year must be made at least 30 days before the event. No refunds are provided. An administration fee applies for transfers and for moving an entry.
