View Church Fun Run : Tygerberg Hills, Cape Town
The View Church Fun Run is a fundraising road-running event in support of the Ravensmead Learning Centre. It takes place at Tygerberg High School in De Tijger, Cape Town, and includes community-focused activities and routes with views of Table Mountain.
Participants can choose between the following distances:
- 5 km Road Run
- 10 km Road Run (two laps of the 5 km route)
Entries include a commemorative finisher's medal for all finishers and the race number serves as the timing tag. Discovery Vitality members can earn extra Vitality Points by completing the event. Team entries are possible: a two-person relay for the 10 km route allows each teammate to run 5 km. Podium prizes and a lucky-draw prizegiving will take place; winners must be present at prizegiving to collect prizes or they forfeit them. Late entries will be available on race day. Registration is scheduled the day before the event at the Dragonfly Tri gazebo on the Tygerberg High School rugby field.
The host is View Church Tygerberg Hills, which meets weekly at Tygerberg High School and describes its purpose as outreach and community support. The event emphasizes fundraising for children's learning and development through the Ravensmead Learning Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
