Veterans Race - Buffalo, NY
Veterans Race is a community running event held at Buffalo Naval Park on November 7, 2026. The event includes road races, a kids race along the promenade near the naval ships, and a non-timed walk. Presented by Destination Races with a presenting sponsor from a local law office, the event supports WNY Heroes and Buffalo Naval Park; proceeds will benefit these organizations.
The event is capped at 800 participants and does not permit walk-up or race day registration. Packet pickup occurs before race day at Other Half Brewing in Seneca Tower. Awards are given by age group for both veterans and civilians, with five-year age brackets in the 5K and ten-year age brackets in the 10K.

- 5K for civilian and veteran or active duty divisions
- 10K for civilian and veteran or active duty divisions
- Kids Cadet Race 400 m for ages 2 to 8
- Walk 2 Miles not timed, shorter route
Registration fees listed by the organizer vary by division and distance, with a kids fee of ten dollars and adult fees up to fifty dollars. After the event finish, participants receive a holiday ornament, a gift, and a cup; registrations after October first include only one gift.
