Veterans' Honor Run: 22 Hours of Tribute
The Veterans' Honor Run is a 22 hour tribute event held November 7–8, 2026 at Heritage Park in Canton Township, Michigan. The run represents the 20 to 22 veterans lost each day to suicide and features hourly dedications to honor service and sacrifice.
Participation is flexible. In-person participants may join at their desired time, pace, and duration, and can start, stop, and take breaks as needed. The park course is a paved loop of approximately 1 mile with minimal hills. The event is chip-timed for in-person runners; virtual participants must track their own mileage and submit results by November 10th for official credit. A live leaderboard feed is provided during the event.
Support and logistics include a designated Base Camp area where tents and pop-up canopies are allowed in marked grass zones near parking. Parking is free and adjacent to the start/finish area. The aid station is stocked with hot food, snacks, and coffee. Organizers encourage reusable bottles as the event moves toward being cupless. A headlamp or running light is mandatory for overnight course use. Pacers and independent support crews are permitted with guidelines for aid station use. Alcohol is not allowed on site. The event takes place regardless of weather.
Fundraising for 2026 aims for $22,000 to benefit Guitars for Vets, Therapeutic Riding Inc., and Leashes of Valor.
