Event overview
The Northport Running Club presents the 45th Annual Veterans Cross Country 4 Kilometer Run on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Golf Course, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY. The main competition is an English-style cross country course run entirely on grass. The event supports hospitalized and homeless veterans on Long Island; past proceeds were used to purchase a television for the VA Medical Center and to fund a donation to the United Veterans Beacon House.

Logistics and awards
Registration fees for the 4K cross country run are listed as $25 for veterans or active military, $25 for youth 13 and under, and $35 for others; processing fees are additional and day-of-race registration is $40. The Healthy People 0.5K fun run/walk is free with registration. Packet and number pick-up are available on race day at the VA Golf Course.
Post-race snacks will be provided, followed by awards and raffles. Individual awards include gift cards to top overall, masters, and veteran finishers. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories. Shirts are provided to the first 250 registrants.
